SAN ANTONIO – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) Athletic Department and Office of Marketing and Communications have launched a new athletic Web site, www.ollusaintsathletics.com.

The new Web site will be managed by OLLU News and Sports Information Officer Patty Constantin.

"Our intercollegiate program is just three-years-old, so the excitement on campus  is at an all-time high,” said Constantin. “Adding a brand-new athletics Web site will continue that positive momentum, and at the same time, help us showcase our student-athletes in a format that is fresh and contemporary.”

The new site is being hosted and powered by eSolution Architects and their product SIDHelp.

SIDHelp is a content management and Web development system built specifically for college athletic departments. The SIDHelp network currently includes more than 20 conference sites and more than 50 institutional sites.

“The process of working with Greg Black and his staff to build our site went smoothly, and their support every step of the way was phenomenal. All of us at OLLU are very happy with the way the site turned out,” said Constantin.

Vice President for Student Life and Athletic Director Jack Hank said, “In a short amount of time, we have grown to offer 12 men’s and women’s varsity teams. The site reflects that momentum and the spirit that we have on campus for our sports program. I especially like that the new site parallels the branding of our main academic site.”

Similar to our old site, the new site will feature Saints news, schedules, rosters, trivia, results and photo galleries. It also will feature links to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

“In addition, we will have the opportunity to web stream our competitions when possible and provide live stats for our fans,” said Constantin.

OLLU Saints Athletics includes teams in men’s and women’s basketball, women’s cross-country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s softball,  men’s and women’s tennis and women’s volleyball.

This year, the Saints entered the Red River Athletic Conference. In 2007, the Saints competed as independents, and in 2008, OLLU’s program was affiliated with the Association for Independent Institutions (A.I.I.).

“Our objective in working with SIDHelp was to create a highly professional-looking athletics site that would be user-friendly and capture the essence of the our student-athletes, coaches and our entire staff,” said Constantin. “ SIDHelp has helped us achieve that goal.”
